A lot of gyms use conditioning drills as a punishment — show up late, drop and give me twenty. I don't run the floor that way, and I get asked why fairly often.
Conditioning isn't something you owe the gym for a mistake. It's the actual work that lets you fight a full three minutes without your arms turning to lead in round two. If you dread it, you'll do it badly, and it won't build anything.
So we frame it as training, not punishment, and we scale it to where you are. A beginner's conditioning block and a Fight Team member's conditioning block look nothing alike, but the intent is the same: build the engine before you need it.
